Last night I was watching this cool documentary called "The protocols of Zion" which sort of looks at the history of anti-semitism in the 20th century, centering on the conspiracy theory that the Jews were responsible for 9/11.
Towards the end of the film they showed this community Passover meal in New York city where the film maker Mark Levin is interviewing this cross dresser with sort of a Yiddish/french accent. She/he is talking about how even though they have servants in the house that cook, clean, etc...every night he/she cleans her/his own toilet...and then says..."everyone has to deal with their own 'crap' (insert a word that starts with s here)"
That is the most profound thing I have heard in the last 20 years, and the funny thing is that it didn't come from a pastor. Is it because pastors are not encouraged to deal with their own crap?
